Rocket Appartamento is a semi-automatic coffee machine of a compact type suitable for placement in rooms where space is limited. The machine’s small size should not deceive, however. The design is iconic thanks to the wide support feet, the R for Rocket positioned on the steam knob, and the laser-cut design that distinguishes the side panels available in different colors. The included storage rails in the cup warmer are made of plastic but metal rails can be purchased separately.
The included technology includes a boiler with heat exchanger, an E61 unit, and a dual preinfusion system that enable the Rocket Appartamento to achieve professional-level performance.
Rocket Espresso technology for the Appartamento model
The heat exchange system allows Appartamento to brew steam and extract water at the same time, so there is no downtime between brewing multiple milk-based drinks. The E61 unit maintains a stable infusion water temperature by siphoning water from the boiler, through the unit, and vice versa. A dual pre-infusion system promotes the extraction of aromatic and richly creamy beverages.
This coffee maker employs a large 1.8-liter copper boiler that, together with a 1200-watt heating element, provides good brewing power. Boiler and tank levels are regulated by built-in electronic sensors that monitor and warn if levels are low or automatically turn off the machine if the warnings are for some reason ignored.
The steam wand features patented Cool Touch technology that reduces the risk of scalding when dispensing steam.
