Gaggia automatic coffee machines enable the preparation of many milk-based drinks including: cappuccinos, lattes, café au lait and flat whites. The technologies that Gaggia provides to handle milk emulsification operations are mainly of two types:
- Automatic systems: integrated carafe, CAPPinCUP, and Cappuccinatore are automated milk frothing technologies. With a simple click of a button, the milk emulsion can be activated and the drink can be dispensed directly into the cup.
- Manual systems: steam wand and panarello, on the other hand, are manual devices more similar to those found in semi-automatic coffee machines. They generally consist of a steel or plastic device capable of delivering a stream of steam used for frothing milk and emulsifying the foam.

EMULSION SYSTEMS WITH INTEGRATED CARAFE
The integrated carafe, found on the Magenta Prestige, Cadorna Prestige, Anima Class, Accademia, Babila and Velasca Prestige models, is a milk emulsion system that includes a container connected directly to the coffee machine. When a milk drink is selected, the system is activated by emulsifying the milk twice and dispensing a velvety cream at the correct temperature. The carafe can be removed and stored in the fridge after use. The carafe can be easily cleaned thanks to the automatic cleaning cycle.
CAPPINCUP MILK EMULSION SYSTEM
The CAPPinCUP emulsion system, fitted in the Cadorna Milk and Naviglio Milk models, is an innovative one-touch system. With a single click, the CAPPinCUP system draws milk from an external container, emulsifies it and dispenses it directly into the cup, without splashing, and without the need to move the cup from under the coffee dispenser.
MILK EMULSION SYSTEM WITH CAPPUCCINATORE
The Cappuccinatore, included in the Anima Class model, features a patented cyclonic chamber that draws milk from a container and, through a connecting tube, emulsifies it and dispenses it directly into the cup.

The steam wand, included in the Magenta Plus and Cadorna Plus Barista models, is a manual milk emulsion system ideal for those seeking a true professional barista experience. EMULSION SYSTEM WITH CLASSIC PANARELLO
The classic panarello, included in the Brera, Naviglio, Cadorna Style, and Cadorna Plus models, is a simple and straightforward manual solution that can deliver steam to emulsify milk foam or dispense hot water for making tea and herbal teas. The classic Gaggia steamer is made of stainless steel or plastic.
